At Total Rope Solutions we realised that we needed to offer our customers the option of Fusing and Tapering all types of wire ropes, in all diameters and finishes. To that end, we have two tapering machines, a gas one and an electric one.

The gas tapering machine is specifically for small wire ropes. With the less powerful gas system this is perfect for small diameter wire ropes producing a proper taper, the right length and not brittle.

The electric tapering machine is one of the largest in the UK. We can fuse and taper wire rope up to a diameter of 44mm, in any construction and in both left hand and right hand. The machine has 3 power settings rising up to 83 amps for the larger ropes. This ensures that all ropes have an excellent taper and the ropes are properly sealed.
